used to see that tire issue all the time around my area.

many small tobacco farmers,
when they widen the wheels for cultivation, they just turn the wheel around, did not change sides. during the time they were cultivating the tires ran backwards.

cultivator must not have been hard to pull, so it must not have made much difference.

guess they did not have one of those fancy Ferguson rear tire lift kits.

You see that a lot with show tractors here . It seems that the theory is that there is less wear on the tyres fitted this way when driving along roads . I can't see it myself .

It works well for me and many others. Not show tractors, but
tractors that are driven to events and on many treks and still
worked on the land regularly.

It that your Fergie, Ben?

Looks like a nice fair. Back in the late 80's, my wife and took an ag tour, mostly by bus, up the east coast of Australia from Brisbane to Cairns, staying with farm families most of the time. (New Zealand, too.)

It was a great time, and I'd love to do it again someday, and hopefully run across a local fair/tractor show like that one.

I checked out the Vacy Village Fair's Facebook page: Jack Russell Terrier races!

It's my 7 year old daughters fergie. We have another '47
model TEA 20 for my nearly 2 year old son. I hope to get a
fergie for myself one day.
There were plenty of competitors in the dog races.
