7a eo b20 model
Greetings fella, long time no see. Many years back I found a barn full of old Ferguson "stuff". Included in that "stuff" was a 7a eo b20 model sickle bar mower. It have been sitting in the back of my barn for years, but I am itching to give her a try. The TO30 that was in the barn does have the correct break away/stabilizer bar bracket already. What it does NOT have is the attachment for the hook on the chain that mounts to it. I do not have the manuel, and YES, one is on the way. But I would like to see a pic of someone's bracket to see where the chain hook goes. My bracket does have a very small hole drilled into it towards the rear, maybe slightly larger than an 1/8"? Was there a metal ring or other attachent clevis that mounted to this hole? It seems fairly small to take the weight of such a heavy implement.
=second thought was some sort of heavy "O"-ring mounted with the fender bolts? again, just need a pic.
I also have a question about the pto shaft that operates the mower. Mine is splined, and only my TO30 has the smaller pto drive shaft. As of right now, the part that goes over the drive pto does not reach the tractor, it is actually frozen in place, I am assuming as with other pto shafts that travel up and down that this end needs to be able to slide freely up and down the shaft-is that correct? I have it soaking in pb blaster as we type, I was just wondering, before i start banging with the hammer, is it merely slided up and down the shaft, or if it is threaded somehow. I do not want to damage it. It is very complete and decent cutters and paint.
Any pics would be wonderful..
Thank you,
Mark
