I am replacing the brakes, seals and all the normal stuff on the rear axle of my tractor, but have a couple of questions. Has anyone ever thought about putting a heavy felt disc around the axle shaft to cause the oil to be thrown off before it gets a chance to get anywhere close to the seal? Some of the old (20's) cars had an oil slinger like that on the axles. Just a thought.
