Hood ( bonnet ) support pics / advise for TEA 20 needed

I am nearing the end of restoration of a TEA 20. There was not a hood support in place before I owned it. I ordered the U shaped bracket from YT. But I don't see any channel on the inner portion of my hood for the support bracket ends to run. Also the hold down J bolts don't seem to match the loops on the end of the hood. Could someone post underside pics of these two portions of the hood support and hold downs?
Thanks

Some to get you started .

Note this is an English built TED20 , same as the TEA , the hood prop in the picture is a custom job to fit around an aftermarket radiator . The drawing is an accurate representation of the original .

(quoted from post at 06:38:18 08/31/15) Tony Mass just bought the bracket, if he see's this he will likely post picture.

I am beginning to think that a previous owner replaced the hood on my TEA 20 with one from a TO 20 or 30. I have the shorter side panels on mine and different hold down design.
I guess my question now is what do the TO 20 hoods use on the front end to keep it from going over center and what type of hold downs are needed back by the dash?

Thanks.

Look at the side panels. Are they one piece or two with a joint at the radius of the dog leg? Also, if the hold down brackets are vertical, i.e. the slot is
fwd. to aft then this is a TO20/30 hood. Another feature is the grill on the TO-20/30 is one piece with the lovers punched in the sheet metal. The TE is a
built up panel and the louver panels are separate inserts to the grill.

Here is a TO style hood latch. It is held on with 2 clips to the back of the lower dash. I may have one if you are interested. e-mail me.

That was over a year ago amigo... time flies when yer havin fun...
I might have lost easy access to all the pics from way back then, but I looks just like what Charles posted, so do the keepers. A TEA20-85.

OK, upon further review, the previous owner definitely installed a TO hood on my TEA 20. I have the split side panels and do not have the rails inside the hood for the hood prop ends to slide on. My real question now is how the TO hoods were held open and not flop over center. I don't see any parts described anywhere online. I can work out a different design for the hold downs by the battery, but really don't want the newly painted hood damaged in the open position. So I am looking for how the hood is held secure in the open position.

Advise / Pictures on the TO style hood? Thanks a lot.

Rather than this sliding bar, a US made TO hood 'chin' is made differently. It has heavy tabs that hit the radiator support when there is just enough room to check the radiator cap.
When these rot, people got a front bumper that lets the grill sit on there when out of the way, without doing even more damage.

Hi Tony,

Could you or someone else on the forum post a picture of the TO hood with the heavy tabs that you are describing? Do you know if these are available?

Thanks

I am looking for the bonnet runners for a TE 20 or TEA 20. Located on each side of the hood, and attaches to the support rod. Does anyone have a pair?
Thanks.

I imagine Sparex 'might ' sell such a thing, but you either need a TO hood or another TEA one. I've seen people keep the hood open with a small chain, up to you.
