burned new connecting rod bearings

I have a TO 20 and just had the crank reground put new main and con rod bearings. Turned the engine over with spark plugs out got oil out of fitting on side of block, forgot to hook up tubing to gauge. Had the engine running for about 20 min. shut it down then would not turn over again. Disassembled again found con rod bearings bad, seems to get oil to the main bearings but not con rods. I never had oil pressure but suspected bad gauge now not so sure. Thinking oil pump now but read they are very reliable.Thinking it is pumping but not enough pressure. Took cover off and nothing looks bad. Oil passages in crank are clear.
Any help or suggestions will be welcome.

There is only a couple of things that could cause that. Even with low oil pressure it shouldn't lock down. When you out it together did you check the rod bearing clearances? They could have sent the wrong bearings. Did you have the rods resized when you had the crank turned? Lastly all the rods are oiled by the crank which gets its oil from the upper main bearings. If the holes in the upper main bearing shells line up with the holes in the block and you can blow air thru them then they are clear. Which means oil is getting to the crank.

Just found this and realized I didn't finish it. It was the oil pump. The small pin that locks the shaft to the gear did not stay engaged. Re drilled hole and installed 5/16" roll pin. runs great.
