Hi, I just aquired a 1950 TO-20 last week. This is my first of a million questions I'm sure I'll have. Appreciate your knowledge and help in advance.

As you can see from the picture I have a unique seat adjustment apparatus. It have adjustpparatus shock absorber running in the middle of the spring.

Any idea what it really is?

Don't know if this is a dealer add on but I have a friend that has TO 30 with the same seat. May have been a deluxe seat for the time. I'm sure it for a softer ride.

If I can remember correctly that is a Knoedler Shock seat or something along that line. If you Google that maybe you can find something.

looks close.. found this on ebay

Yes, its a Knoedler. I have one on my 8-n and love it. Parts (like the bearings, shock ect) are available from Phil Heisley who hangs out on the Oliver board where he is the go to guy for Co-op and Cockshutt parts.

Thanks guys, I'll look up Phil and get the scoop on mine. I really appreciate everyone's help.

I took the to-20 out a couple time to mow and the seat is indeed comfortable. I'm sure it'll be even better once I get it fixed up with a new shock and all.
