Governor Spring TO-30

No one seems to carry governor springs. They have compensation springs but not the one that attaches to the governor lever. I found one locally that is about the same length with a couple of more coils. Will that work? What is everyone else using? I haven't bought the one I found yet. I wanted to see if I could find an original.

Looking in the parts book, do you need the "Spring, Plunger to Lever" part# 180088M1? This is the spring at the bottom of the vertical rod (plunger).

Plug that part number into Google and you should see that Jacks small engines has the spring. I have ordered from him before and never had a problem.
