Is my Ferguson TED20 (year 1952) early or later? I think it's later? So rpm 1100 and ignition timing 9-11 degrees. Is that ok?

Check the Serial # on the Distributor:
Early TE D....D3A4 V151 40186A
Late TE D.....D3A4 V151 40298A
Note:
Cam shaft turns at 1/2 speed of Crankshaft
Dist. turns at same speed as camshaft

Thanks.

1. Where is the distributor's serial number?
2. When I look picture, so is B.T.D.C degrees (for example: later version, 6 degrees) that when the holes are aligned with the starter motor below and flywheel (and 1 piston is up)? Or is it 0 degrees then?

DIST INFO LOCATION:
MAKE
MODEL
SERIAL #
LOCATED ON METAL IDENT TAG attached with rivet's to the outside housing as per this SERVICE MANUAL PIC.

All TEA 20's that I have seen and the three I own have a SERIAL # TAG that the operator of the TRACTOR can see when sitting in the seat operating the Tractor. The Tag is viewed on the Steering Column/Dash support between the spokes of the steering wheel

Steering column dash plate have numbers = 266599.
And distributors have numbers 40298A. I still want to know is flywheel hole 0 degree T.D.C or 6 degree B.T.D.C?

Sorry, maybe I am stupid? =)

6 degrees BTDC according to the chart...and from your dash serial number it is a 1952 model.

Thanks.

1. So I put nail in hole under start motor directly flywheel hole?
2. Now I paint points crank shaft wheel and motor (somewhere)?
3. I put motor on 450 rpm?
4. I turn ignition so much when paint point are vertically?
----------------------------------
5. What is the "place" what adjust the spark at high revs (is it somewhere in distributor)?

ITEM's 11/14/and 16 are all part of the centrifugal Ignition advance. As the distributor RPM increases ITEM's 11/14/and 16 advance the point of IGNITION MECHANICALY.
CAMSHAFT RPM is half of Crankshaft RPM
Distributor RPM is same as Camshaft RPM.
As the RPM decrease the mechanical advance SPRINGS retard the ignition advance components.
