Read today where MF is building a new 35 for Kenya with there growing agriculture and developing country. Why I read it they are about the same as what was built in USA 50-60's. They will have a package with tractor and implements.

I hope AGCO runs out of parts and has to buy back some from us!
The pic in the attachment looks to be an english model. Don't know if any of those came with the perkins nor continental, probably the standard motors petrol and the 23c. It will be interesting to see what this does to parts availability.
Would be nice if there was some charitable organization that bought up all our refurbished tractors and shipped them all over for the same purpose. Anyone know Bill Gates?

When we were going to EXPO in Ohio a truck driver(from foreign country-- Africa ??? ) ask me if my 40 was for sale. I told him no then he ask if he bought tractors would I build them like mine and he would ship them to his country. Said he shipped all he could find but the people didn't know how to repair them and would like to have them in good condition before shipping overseas. I told him I was retired and didn't need extra work. LOL

Oh miner... if you had in laws in Africa, you and your tool box would be there on the next plane.. or is that ex in-laws?
Selling them the Standard 23C engine would atleast keep the third world in the third world for a while longer that's for sure...
Standards became British Leyland property, and Perkins is now Cat's mouse to torment to death... I will bet AGCO already has a cheap to make 36 horse diesel. I don't think there is a gasoline tractor engine over 25 horse anywhere anymore. Usually at Home Depot..
If AGCO said this, then they finally found a use for all the patterns and tooling they stuffed away in 1965. Hey all the taxi cabs in India are from the old Hillman Hunter dies. From the early 60's, same as the 35's... those Russian Lada's were the outdated 1970's Fiat tooling, so this makes good business sense. Although it does look like an April fool's joke....
The commander in chief will send an Air America shipping container to 2 tractor's place- and send all 2's stuff to his kissin cousins in Mombasa... I saw his auntie putting that pair of FE35's down on a Santa Claus wish list at that dinner party last week...

They've been continuously available under the TAFE name.
Africa is now like the Great Plains were just before the eradication of the Buffalo.

Big bounties paid, natives moved to reservations, multi-national ag investors moving
in, largely from China. 50,000 acre concessions, 99 year leases. End of nature.

There is a thread on the Massey forum about 'TAFE35's'.... guess what they look like?
I am thinking this article is just a bunch of hype, the Indian division of MF/ AGCO is going to sell these in Africa, and make it look like they just invented the wheel.
I would like to know how much is original design, and how much is like 'The new New Hollland 9N'.... which don't look like fish nor foul to me... looks like a blue and grey Yanmar to my eyes....
