Standard 23c exhaust manifold

My poor TO35.....I broke (literally) my 23c exhaust manifold. Running under a tree branch, caught the pipe and broke an ear off the elbow and an ear off the manifold. Two for the price of one.

Been looking around fleabay (no tractor yards near me) and the manifolds offered there to me are somewhat questionable. After 50+ years, they are rather beat. I don't want to spend $100 and find the casting is cracked (like mine was). No local machinist to weld and retap mine that I can find. Found new - but in England. Pricey, but to me a simple install and happy tractorin'.

Question is - they refer to the manifold as fitting an FE35, and TEF. Definitely 23C. I'm confident it'll fit my engine - any reason it would be a poor choice? Is the manifold the same as was installed on a TO35? Any history on these aftermarket parts?

Anyone know availability of any repro's stateside?

Thanks to all -

I did the same thing to my TO35, had the upright muffler on and hit a tree limb. Broke
off the rear corner of the manifold.

My local farm equipment store had one (new casting) for about $140.

It fit ok, but be prepared the new castings are not going to be as clean and smooth as
the original.

I took all the manifold attachment bolts out cleaned them, bought new attachment nuts.

I bit the bullet and when back with an under belly muffler system. Am much happier will
less exhaust fumes in my face.

I think you are better off taking it to a welding shop. There 'might' be repro's in the UK, but it would be quite a hunt in the US, better luck in Canadian parts yards. To mention any completion sources on YT might get the post or posters in trouble....so....
