T20 or T30 TWO tractors to Make one and HELP PICS!

I am posting for 2 reasons.

1. How to Post a pic when registering my Tractors.
2 I have 2 tractors with hopes of taking the two and making a good one. While having the rest of the other one as spare parts.

1. Tractor #1 is TO97020 Serial # I think but not sure is a TO30
1952 I wanted to put a Pic of the tractor here but can't control C or Control P here. And I don't have it on the web so I don't have a URL for it.

2. Tractor #2 is TO37141 1951 according to the serial number I think. Also I think its a T20. I compared the dashes and the Key/ignitions are different this one is below the dash. The other one is on the dash. also comparing the manufacturing specifications. The engine differences vary slightly. For example the Cylinder Bore for the TO20 is 3 3/16 and the Cylinder for the TO30 is 3 1/4.

If someone could assist me in helping me add the pictures than maybe you can help me more in determining if both are T20 like my brother thinks but I thing the other is T30 due to dash differences. But really even if one is a To20 or a TO30 does it really matter?

Not sure if I should even be answering your question, since I am new to Ferguson tractors. I have a TO30, but am still learning about it.
I think one is a TO20 and one is a TO30. The one with the air intake on the dash panel, I believe is a TO30, and I think the other is a TO20, but I could be wrong on that. The TO30 should have an external oil filter on the right side parallel with the engine, and I believe the TO20 should have an access panel in the oil pan for the oil filter and not an external one.
Like I said, I'm new to the Ferguson TO tractors, but I really like the TO30 that I have..Good luck with your 2 tractors, I'm sure you can get one going, and hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will come along soon to verify if I told you right.

You are partially correct TO 20 serial numbers 1 to 60000, TO 30 S/N 60001 to 140000. Your TO 20 is a 1950 and uses a Z 120 Continental engine, TO 30 is a 1952 and uses a Z 129 Continental engine. Those 3 digit numbers are cubic inches. TO 20 about 24 h.p. TO 30 about 30 h.p. If possible use the TO 30 for your running tractor as it has 6 h.p. more than the 20 and it has stronger rear axles. Those engines should fit into each other of the tractors. Welcome to the best Ferguson Forum on the www. Lots of good information at this site.

My research that I have come across I believe The blue on is a TO30 the engine cast shows Z129A600 on it and the other one believe is a T20 1951 model its cast shows Z129A66 and looks like a Small capital A in the area of like its a degree. but its and A.

I think This one is A T20 here is the other side of the tractor to possibly confirm the oil thingy.

The Ferguson tractors that were made in the U.S. are the TO 20, TO 30, TO 35, F 40 also referred to as Ferguson 40. There was no T20 built in the U.S. or the U.K. The blue one is a 1952 Ferguson TO 30 and it should have the key switch on the top left of the dash on what is referred to as the BUMP. The Grey one is a 1950 Ferguson TO 20 and that key should be down below on the secondary dash.

Thank you are spot on for where the Key is on the "BUMP" lol. I called it the DASH! OOPs.

IF you know anyone that might be interested in the Tractors I might let them go. But after seeing the one finished its so tempting to restore them both. Since this model was such a nice Tractor. They are located in East Texas Arkansas state lines at my brothers place. Just incase someone decides they would like to buy them for themselves.

My daddy was a tractor man for a living while I was growing up. Since he's been gone the tractors give me a comfort or since of his influence he had on me an tractors. And yes I have had my share of oil pans dropped in my face as a joke by my father. a Face full of old tractor oil was not fun but the sound of the engine and the mere power they can have in such a small machine.

The TO30 is an attractive Tractor. I digress and I thank you greatly for your contribution to the madness that I have ventured into. At least I am aware of the makes and models of these two tractors now! Thanks to the very knowledgeable fellows at this forum.

I think you are correct I have decided that the TO30 would be the better of the Two since the engine would yield the extra 6hp.

might be interested in both tractors. Depends on price though.

Ok; I can let my Brother know since the tractors are at his place. He told me yesterday he has a Running 3000 Ford incase. To contact me directly so I can provide a phone number here is my email [email protected]
