Bought a Ferguson at auction recently, could use some help identifying it. In need of major engine work, am planning on a rebuild, but need to know first which tractor to order the rebuild kit.
There is no longer any plate on the dash console. Went to the numbers on the block and became more confused. Stamped inbto the block "Z129A600" and above that in raised format is "Z12 A600"
The numeral "9" seems to have been ground or filed off. Do I bet on a TO-20 or TO-30 ?
 
That's what I thought, but I read somewhere, perhaps even this forum, that TO 20 parts were put into the TO 30 block and dealers filed off the "9" to signify this. Anyone know for sure? Is there any other way, other then the missing metal dash plate3, for me to know for sure?
 
TO 20 dash has key down below on secondary dash and no air inlet on dash. TO 30 has key on left top of dash and air inlet on right side of dash. Look at the posting right behind yours and click on that link to see if those pictures might help you.
