I am looking at a 35 with serial number psgm 171250 could this originally have been a beige and green tractor. It has some red paint on it now but you can see beige bleeding through.

It is possible it could have been Bamboo Beige and Dark Green Metallic or it could have been Bamboo Beige and Flint Metallic Grey. If the hood side and front emblems are on it what color is the background? If the emblems are Green it would have been a Green Belly. If Red it would have been a Flint Metallic Grey for the hard castings. Also it was a very late 1956 Ferguson TO 35 and the prefix letters show it has factory Power Steering(P), Standard or Utility Chassis(S), Gas engine(G), Dual or two stage clutch(M). That sounds as it is a very nice tractor. Will be very nice if brought back to the original colors. It is a very late 1956 Ferguson TO 35.

Brain, I have a 1957, that was beige and gray, I painted it red years ago so it would look more like later models.

Someday I m a y repaint it, but probably not.

I would say theres a good chance yours was Beige & Green. I have a Beige & Green 35 when I took it apart to restore
it I found green paint under the fender brkts ,under the seat brkt and it still had the original green air filter decal that had been taped over when it was painted Red & Flint. The serial #170239 is not that far from yours. The engine in mine was built 5/18/56 and shipped from Contenintal the same day. The whole period between 1953(Ferguson) to 1958(Massey Ferguson)The company name was actually (MHF)Massey Harris Ferguson and they were having problems selling tractors. So I would guess when they had one of there color changes they would have went ahead and used the built up chassis they had on hand.

I believe you have a 1956 Ferguson TO 35 Green Belly. Below is a link to our tractor club. There is a lot of information there and you can join the club if you like. what my 1956 operators manual looks like.
green and beige.
side emblems and front of hood emblem are all green background

nice find, not too many early 1956 models around that were painted beige and green.

from 1955-1958 they could not figure out what color they wanted to paint their tractors. Guess they got it right in 1958 with red.
