'50 ferguson tea 20 - timing?

Hi guys. I just picked up another ferguson tea 20 for a pretty good deal. it's only Got one problem. The guy said it was running rough so he brought it up to his shop to check the plug, and couldn't get it going again. When rolling over by hand, it turns good ccw but gets stuck when turning cw. Valves all seem to look good and everything moves good when turning ccw. Would like some ideas before I tear it all apart on what some possibilities might be. Any advice appreciated!
Thanks, Jamie

Some possibles that come to mind , broken governor weight jamming the chain [ fairly common ], distributor pinion or mechanism jamming , starter motor or generator brushes cocked and sticking in one direction .

Thanks! That's exactly what it was. 2 of
the weights came off and fell down, jamming
the gear. Nice to know that's all it was
and not something too major. Thanks for the
help!
appreciate it,
Jamie

Installed this timing drive out last month and none to soon!

Looks like you caught it just in time! I'm glad there was no other damage to the gears or chain. I was also surprised how easy all the bolts and everything came out. Nice to work on, took me 2 hours to tear down wash and find the problem!
