TO35 Gas Tank

Thinking about changing the fuel tank on the '60 TO35 gas. It has a homemade stainless tank on it now. It has failed twice, vibration cracks in the welds.

Can anyone explain or send a picture of how the original style tank mounts? I put this tank on about 20 years ago, can't remember what all I changed.

Looking on this site, I see some webbing strap is offered. Where does that go?

Also see the cap is listed as non vented... Any reason? Any alternative?

Thanks!

The bolts with the springs up from bottom, thur water outlet housing into bottom of tank in threaded holes. A couple pictures from parts book. The spring measured 9/16 OD X 1 5/8" long and about .120 wire.

My memory getting bad so went and looked a tractor. The bolts are 5/16" carriage 2-3/4" long, has 2 brackets on tank bottom with key hole slot for bolt head and thru housing. Hope this helps, Jim

I might know of a tank from parted out 35. Where are you located? MF dealer got me new springs and I had to have the baffles welded in my tank,I was afraid to try it but the guy ran engine exhaust in it while plug welding the broken spot welds.

Thanks! It would need to be in really good, rust free condition to justify the shipping. Any way to see inside or get some pictures? Email is open.

f you have to pay shipping, might as well buy a new one. They aren't that expensive.
