Ferguson 3 point subsoiler

Anyone know how long these subsoilers were made and what models they were intended to go behind?

I would think they would be a load for TO 30 if you pulled it very deep. Had to be build in the 50's. The one I have was built in England.

I have a D-BE-28 that my grandfather bought new back about 1954. Made in England. Since I've been around it's only been hooked to an MF65. I can't imagine the NAA or the Ns that were around before the Massey pulling it. I ripped up some really compacted dump truck tracks with it once and the 65 was working hard to do it. Normal field subsoiling though it just sails along. I found a place in England that makes the correct point for these subsoilers should anybody want to restore one, but they ain't cheap. http://www.westlakeploughparts.co.uk/20041-ferguson-subsoiler-point.html

I bought one from a guy who was selling it because it grabbed a root and stripped the teeth of his pinion gear...

my dad used one behind his TO-35 in shale type ground. I too used it. I do not remember having any problems pulling it as long as you did not go deep. IOW's common sense prevails.
