bushings or spacers etc

Should there be bushings or spacers, washers, etc, where the center link and 3 point hitch connects on each side of the eyeballs so they don't slide side to side and hit the cinch pins and where they connect to the bush hog.

(quoted from post at 07:16:57 05/30/15) Nothing , no lubrication either .

I am aware that the owners manual said no lubrication just to use powered graphite which I did. But it sweaks alot and loud.
If I were to put some grease or something like WD40 lightly would it do any harm.. The eyeballs are not rusted and they are fairly tight and hardly worn.

The best thing to do would be to work the tractor for a while , the squeak is probably caused by surface rust and perhaps some dirt jammed in the sockets . You could try water blasting the sockets to clean them thoroughly if this is the case . Once clean the squeak should calm down enough for graphite to work effectively .
Any wet lubrication such as grease , WD40 or the like will attract sand and create an abrasive paste that will wear the components rapidly .

I just use spray graphite to lube the ball sockets and pins. spray graphite can be purchased at NAPA.

also, you can use spray graphite to lube the tractor front axle pivot bushing.

as others have said, any type lube other than graphite will attract dirt and cause the balls and pins to wear faster.
