So we just bought a Ferguson To35.Are there any problems that I should watch for. It appears to be a nice tractor. This is my first Ferguson. have owned Allis Oliver Ford IH John Deere Leader tractors but not Ferguson. I am kind of excited to see what its like. Randy

Check the transmission for water. Notorious for rain getting in through the shifter and top link boots. Other than that, nothing I can think of that wouldn't be common to any other 55-60 year old tractor.

Can you post some pictures?

yes, one short coming on the transmission input shaft.
it can start leaking oil after many 1000's of hours of use.

you can stuff a number of oil seals in there, but it will still leak oil, it will drain out the weep hole under the transmission housing.

you must, keep this weep hole open, most times it has an up side down cotter key with the legs of the key sticking down, so it turns in the grass and keeps the oil hole open.

if the legs brake off, as mine has over the years, then you must check this hole opening from time to time.

later model tractors, they made this part of the transmission housing replaceable.

about the only problem I have had with mine.
1957 TO35 hr meter quit at 4500 hrs 15+ years ago, tach still works.

This tractor has problem with the quadrant control some thing is loose if you wiggle the controls just right it will lift the three point other wise it will not lift . It has 2848 hours town ship had owned it other wise seams to be in real good condition. Randy
