Pictures of my newly acquired TO30

I am currently changing clutch and next will be to paint her original ferguson gray and buy some attachments for using to plant food plots.
What is a tractor like this worth down here in the South?

Previous owner did paint it green, guess he really wanted a John Deere.

Note: the lift arm adjuster on your tractor is on the left side, on most tractors that
adjuster is on the right side, but I guess it really does not matter. However, when
plowing you lift the right side up to level the plow as the tractor will be running at
an angle, right wheels in the plow furrow.

Also, I noticed your lift arm check chains are held together by a pin clip, if it were
my tractor the first heavy grass and weeds you get into will open that clip and allow
that check chain to come loose.
This will allow the cutter to push the arm over into your rear tire, tearing up
something. I would want those check chain well sorted, in good condition, they can be
your best friends sometimes.

Check chains are together. Pins are just there to be used later when attaching implements. Just my guess. I would say $1000 if runs good. One in show quality is worth around $2500.

hank you for the observation and advice because I am new to owning a tractor but not new to driving one but consider myself a newbie.

Forgive me if I am telling you something you already know but I have to repeat John's safety mantra .
''Never pull or tow[u:d6a46da5c2] anything [/u:d6a46da5c2] from the top link of the tractor''
Always use a tow hitch or drawbar mounted under the rear axle .

hat is the top link you are referring to? And what is the tow hitch?

I think the top link he's referring to is the one circled in the picture. Attaching a chain to pull something can seem "logical" to some as it is centered and easy to get to. But it can/will flip the tractor really easily because the point of attachment is so far above the axle.

I'm not quite sure of a what he meant by the "tow hitch". That term must be regional?

Thanks for explaining that Jeremy . If you think our '' regional terms '' are confusing you should hear the accent that comes with them .
I am not so familiar with the US Fergusons , the UK built ones have stud holes under the rear of the transmission casing that take a variety of purpose built towing attachments .

This might explain my concern .

Nay bloody worries mate, fireman will find the same 4 blind holes in the bottom of the diff housing same as pommie models. Usually packed full of mudwasp dirt or cow manure... but they're there.
A free hands on school lesson is on the wall of a 'TSC' store in the states, a colour (without a U) coded display of all the bits and pieces of the hitch and drawbar they sell, and are for sale to us yanks on YT here....
Sometimes us yanks confuse 'top link' with 'top shelf'.... I only buy from discount noggin shops....

hanks for explaining the terms, I often wondered how someone could take a picture and put circles and words on it like you did. I am a little behind the times.
