after putting remaned carb. on it still would not start. new plugs same thing. ordered a new set of SP wires. put them on a little while ago, charged the batt. then turned the key; pulled the choke and it fired up.



oil pressure is only 20 lbs. but I am hoping that is because there is a leak where the oil line connects to the gauge. does not have live hyd. or pto but the hyd. seem to work ok. no chattering or other goofy going ons.



pwr. steering seems to work ok too.



only odd thing I noticed is the distributer shakes but it does not seem to be loose.



brakes ok too.

bought this at a JD dealership last fall.

Nice! Good score on working power steering too.
Does the distributor move around when the engine is running? I think I have read that the camshaft can start to move, maybe the nut gets loose..and this will start to move the distributor around. I wouldn't run it to much if its doing that before fixing it.
Was it missing its air cleaner when you bought it or did you just take it off to work on it?

the dist. does not move when I try to wiggle it with the eng. not running.

I took the air cleaner off. it's some where in the garage.
