Help, TO35 Suddenly doesnt like to run

Normally I can figure her out but not real confident right now. Was running fine, plowed snow in the winter etc. Then I was loading some mulch on the trailer this spring and she was sputtering and running really rough, eventually stalling. Seemed like carb issues to me. Fuel flow is good. Perhaps a tear down and clean of the carb? Thanks for your help!!

change the plugs. Had the same thing happen once. Tried everything but the obvious and finally took out the NGK plugs and put the old Champions in. Solved the problem. Tractor didn't like the high price plugs.

Spark, fuel and compression: it should run. Easy to say,but sometimes hard to get in the right order.

As others said, pull a plug, turn the motor over and be sure you have a good strong bluish spark.

Drain some fuel into a glass jar, let it set a bit and see it you have water in the fuel, did you add fuel lately, might have gotten water from the station or water was in the transfer container.

Check your air filter tower, mice could have made a bed in it and stopped it up.

I bought the hottest coil I could find for my old 35 to give more ump at start up.
I use autolite 3116 plugs, no matter the brand be sure they are non resistor plugs and you have copper core plug wires,
