Badged as a TEA 20 built by Standard Hotchkiss of France, however rather than the petrol engine that a TEA should have, this is fitted with the Standard Motors 20C diesel meaning it should be a TEF.
Colour is grey tinwork, red chassis and engine which would be correct for a French Built FF30 of that spec and era. It has ‘Ferguson’ above the grill but Massey Ferguson side decals.
Serial number would imply 1954 built.
Is this a rebuild from several bits? Doesn’t appear to be and no reason to suppose that it was.
At the moment working on the theory that, at that period in time, bunches of TE20’s
were shipped from the UK to France in bits and put together there, eventually becoming the FF30 when fitted with the Standard diesel. Was this one such that retained it’s original TE classification ?
