Ferguson Hay rake

Does anyone know how to change the main drive belt on a ferguson rake. My belt is really old. I raked 12 acres of first cutting hay yesterday waiting for the belt to break, and it never did.I must be missing something, but it looks like you have to take the rake half apart to change the belt?????? I will get some pictures of the rake tonight when I get to the farm, and post them.

It's not as bad as it looks. You remove one tine bar and slip the belt over that arm of the spider. Bolt that tine bar back in place and turn the reel and proceed with the next one. Same process. That is the only way to get the belt over the big drive sheave. I can post pictures later tonight if needed and Gates parts numbers for the belt if needed depending on which rake and sheave combination you have.
