slipping clutch

Hello Gentlemen, I have a 1959 TO 35 Deluxe with 2 stage clutch. Under heavy load the clutch seems to be starting to slip. Is there an adjustment or am I needing to start thinking about replacing clutch parts? Thanks in advance. Also, it's been a couple years since I've been on this site. Is John UK still with us? He was invaluable in helping me rebuild the 3pt hydraulics a few years ago. Best to you all!

You can adjust clutch where pedal is on shaft at housing. There is a hole in shaft, loosen pedal-- hold with a rod or screwdriver in hole and move a little to the front of tractor. Hold shaft and tighten bolt. This may help.

If adjusting the freeplay in the pedal doesn't fix it, it's time for a new clutch.

You can get the complete kit on this site.

If you do have to replace the clutch, there are adjustments to the pressure plate that need to be made before the engine goes back in.
A shop manual would be a good investment, the pressure plate adjustments are not difficult, just hard to explain.

Also that would be a good time to replace the front trans seal, take a look at the starter gear on the flywheel, and address any other problems while it's apart.
