Sparex carb kits w/ incorrect items

I recently purchased a Sparex rebuild kit for a TSX 458 carburetor and there are numerous pieces that do not fit the Marvel Schebler carb. For example the nozzle has threads in the wrong places and springs seem reversed, etc.

Anyone else having these issues?

These are 'one size fit all' kinda things. those other pieces will fit some other carb...someday...
Seems economical to put other pieces in a bag for one model, and the same bunch in a bag labeled for another carb.... like a model airplane kit with 3 in one box.... some kids could create some interesting aircraft that could never get off the ground.
You got to be patient to compare each, and do a milk run on every item. Have fun.

That is because it is a kit for a Ford. Their nozzles are threaded different from Ferguson. The gaskets in the kit will work as well as the needle and seat but that's about it. You are better off to get a gasket kit from an Oreillys for $18.00. Sparex is not too high on my list anymore for reasons such as that. I recently tried a set of their points... I won't do it again. They do not fit well and cost more money than the Borg Warner points I can get in town for less money.
