Ferguson made tractors in England and then in the USA. Serial numbers starting with TE-xxxxxx stand for Tractor England, and serial numbers starting with TO-xxxxxx stand for Tractor Overseas (from England's point of view). So your tractor was made in the USA. Those had engines made by Continental.

Its value depends on where you live, its condition, but most important, how much the buyer wants to pay for it. It doesn't matter much, because you can get addicted to restoring them and then spend much more than the original cost of the tractor, over time. How much is your enjoyment worth?

Others will tell you lots more.

I think it is a TO 30, 1954 model year

This should give you a starting point, as that serial number was made in 1954.

Request Ferguson ID numbers by years on the internet.

The site should give you general information about Ferguson tractors made that year.

Hope this helps.

a 1954 to30 in real nice condition but with a alternator converstion, cost me $2000 last fall.its ready to work.which it will be plowing may 1st.

Thank you all for the help. Now here is a little history on this tractor.Right rear is flat.Rim looks to be pretty shot.(rusted near valve stem) Will not hold air.Presently not running(working on getting it running).Has front loader attachment but no bucket.Missing rear fenders ,no wiring harness to speak of.No exhaust or air box.Paid $300.00 for tractor as is.

Drain the oil and look for water/antifreeze in it. If so it has a cracked block and that is why these sell for the price of scrap. Good news is that it
can be fixed.

Let us know.

If the others are right, and it is a TO-30, they are a VERY nice tractor... Heres mine... Got restored for the first time in its life last year! :)

lol
Bryce nice tractor. After weeks of trying I finally got mine started. No smoke and it ran quite well. Now I not as nervous about spending more money on this tractor.Next I'll remove right rear wheel.Rim is rotted near valve stem and will not hold air.Thanxs for all the help so far.

FERGSON RUNS!!! and not to bad. Finally after weeks of playing around it runs and the hydraulic boom goes up and down. Also actuly moves. Also HATS OFF to Yesterdays Tractor Co.Purchased a new rim, tube and wheel center plate bolts.A little quite on the email mail side but all parts arrived in a fashionable time. Then I screwed up taking the origanl tire off and cut the bead.Lucky my friend gave me a old tire from his 8n.Now next faze will be to move tractor to a location closer to my home.Gas tank and radiator need attention next. One needs a cleaning and the other needs a solder to fix a hole.I purchased a shop manuel at a engine show. What a invaluable piece of documentation.Never new there was a start postion to start the tractor.I'll try to keep up dated or start a new thread.
