Looking for some assistance. I have a Ferguson TO20 and recenlty placed new rears 11x2x28 American Farmer tires on it. Tires are not holding air because the rims are rusted. (knew the rims were bad but was hoping to get a little more life outta them  ) Now I am in need of new rims but I having a difficult time finding what size rims are needed for this size of tire and model of this tractor. Can someone please suggest a rim size that will work? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you need 10 x 28, 6 loop/hoop rims!

Thats what my TO-30 runs at least, and it is on 11.2 x 28's... Those polished Aluminum ones are pretty cheap, I think like $100 a rim?!

My 11.2-28 tires are on 9x28, six-loop rims. Here's what they look like:

Mine have the original style, "round" loops, that use "pipped-head" bolts, as opposed to the "square" loops, that use carriage bolts. (They may be the original rims, but I'm not sure.)
Husqysaw, you say your tires won't hold air, because the rims are rusted - do your tires have tubes in them?
FYI: I have a extra, new, 9x28, six-loop (square loops) that I'm not using. I'd make you a heck of a deal, just to get it out of the way. (It's in the background of the photo, in fact.) Shipping might be a killer, though.

Are you using tubes or are you trying to run them tubeless? You tractor needs tubes in the tires. If the rim is poking holes in the tube then you really need new rims.

Thank you sir for the info on the rear rims. So as far as the loops go on the rims are there two types? Square loops and round loops and can you tell what type I have from these pictures?

Thanks for the info sir. Do i need to worry about the type of loop square or round and what type of bolts are mine if you can tell. Would the rims in the link you sent work for me to your knowledge?? Thanks Tim

Tim, it's a little hard to tell with the bolts installed, but it looks like you have the "round" loops. (They're kind of "pinched" at the bottom, and look like the Greek letter "omega".)

If you have round loops, you probably have "pipped-head" bolts.

The rims in the link Bryce sent you (or the rims sold on this site) should work, but you'd need carriage bolts.

As mentioned above, you are using tubes, aren't you?

Those rims really don't look that bad, and they can be repaired, if they have damage from leaking calcium chloride solution.

Finally: am I seeing weights on those wheels?

Thanks Tom your info is very helpful. So i think I will go with 9x11 rims 6 loop with the carriage bolts. FYI, when we took the old tires off they had been sitting flat for a long time and a lot of rusty chunks of rim peeled away attached to the old tires. We tried to clean/knock off sharp rust pieces and added tubes hoping it would be ok. lastest 1 week  The wheels do have weights in the rear does that change anything according to my choice of rim size? I suppose I could just take the darn wheels off, measure and go with the same darn size thats on her now. It could be 9x11 for all I know. Thankyou sir! Tim
