Ferguson 40-the good, the bad, the ugly

Subject says it all, gas model, think that should be a z134 engine. Good step up from my te20? It's at a auction in a couple months. I know it had a loader on it in the past, so I'm expecting steering issues.

A huge step up from a 20. Trouble is...where you are.... is how much will it go for?
If you get it right, everything but the one of a kind tin work is available here or someplace within a couple days if not overnight delivery. Good luck!

99% the same tractor as a MH50 or a MF50 (some tinwork is different as Tony said) so when looking for parts, you can look for those models as well. This is useful for instance when looking for parts on Ebay because quite often the description won't mention F40's

I started with a TO20 but now I have 4 MF50s and 1 MH50. No F40's yet, unless Tony wants to sell me his instead of moving it!

I have this F40 , runs great, old red repaint, $2500.00 and can't get one person to come look at it. Market must be much softer than I thought.
