what are some of the appearance differences between the two tractors On the 35 did it ever come out with standard size 540 PTO shaft and factory draw bar

I think all 35's had a std size PTO all had 2 shift levers [6 spds] the z134 engine instead of the z129. most but not all had live pto with a 2 stage clutch

The 35s had a door in the hood to access the radiator fuel and battery. The 30 had to tip the hood forward. When looking at the 35s look at the serial tag on the dash at the top if it shows TO 35 then it is a Ferguson TO 35. If the tag shows MF 35 then it is a Massey Ferguson 35. Usually not always the front hood emblem will show which it is also. If it has the Ferguson emblem it is a Ferguson TO 35. If the emblem is a MF triple triangle emblem then it is a MF 35. As far as I know no one knows at which serial number was the split between the TO 35 and the MF 35.

sim, a few pictures of my 1957 TO-35, SGM 174616 it originally was painted cream color, but over the years I painted it red, so it would look like everyone else's Fergy. MY BAD

note this model had the tool box cut out in the left rear fender, two way clutch, dealer installed front grill screen, power spread wheels and the pop up center piece in the hood
did not come with a under belly rear hitch, we added that later. just had the cross draw bar hitch with upright stabilizers

I still have the plows that came with the tractor, 3x12" someone must have been thinking sand when they add three plows to this little tractor, I always though 2x14 would have been a better choice, especially now that it has 50+ years of age on it.

Serial number list on left side of this page says TO35 last built as a 59 model. MF 35 number starts 1960 at 204181 so that should be that split you say you think no one knows

Not quite. The engineering Dept. never authorized a MF front hood emblem until 2-9-60. This is shown in some of the parts books. These are the last two serial numbers of 1960 TO 35s that I have so far. SGF 205336 and SGM 206094 which is higher than what the serial list shows. The first 1960 MF 35 I have on my list is SGM 208325. I don't know in which Parts book it is in but it does show on page 196 & 197 that is when the engineering dept authorized the MF Front Hood Emblem. Then I am guessing they had to send the prints to the foundry to have them made up. So because of this and other information I have read and came across It seems like about the middle of May would have been when they started using the MF 35 Emblems. I also am looking for the last 1956 TO 35 which was painted Grey and Dark Green Metallic and the first Bamboo Beige and Flint Metallic Grey (or) possibly it was painted Bamboo Beige and Dark Green Metallic.

I have an old TO-35 number SHM 197273 . I believe it's year made is 1959 and probably one of the last ones made in 1959 . It has the Ferguson white emblem on front . Power steering ,duel clutch and the ZB 134 engine ,high elevation engine. Looks bad with the wrong paint somebody put on it , but it is a working tractor and used most every day. I keep a FEL and back blade on it most of the time.

According to your serial number that should have been built about 11,769 from the beginning of 1959 or 6,406 from the end of 1959. Just look at how many other tractors have been scrapped even much newer than yours and it is still working. Congratulations and thanks for the update.
