TO-20 Trade

I want to trade my 1950 TO-20 for a Farmall Super A. It's in nice shape, good tires. Do you think that would be a fair trade?

Condition is everything and if conditions are the same and the super A doesn't include a fast hitch and maybe some implements for the fast hitch, which are getting harder to find at a reasonable cost, than I would say no.
If you want an offset tractor for your cultivation needs that may be a different story (if it includes the cultivators).
If you reversed the question and posted it on the farmall site you might get a NO trade answer also.
Basically comparing apples to oranges for an equal trade so it really come down to your needs/wants.

hmmm,i've owned both.the a is great for cultivation-if u have the cultivators.and while we're here said cultivators were usually hand lift or mickey mouse exhaust lift.the a will pull a 1 btm mounted plow(that lifts the same way).in short the to is a waaaay better more versatile tractor,3pt made life a lot easier.

Super A should have hydraulic lift not hand or exhaust. I beleive that did make a two bottom plow for them but the soil would have to be right for the farmall to pull it.

Yea, the TO-20 is a nice little tractor, but I don't use it for much other than pulling a small trailer around a small farm. A Super A with cultivators would work better for me.

I currently have both a Super A and two Ferguson 20's. The farmall is nice for cultivating and that is about it. The Ferguson is much handier for anything else.

How old are you. How healthy are you. Reason I ask is, for me, climbing up and down a Super A would be reason enough to get rid of it. There is NO easy way to mount / dismount these otherwise good little tractors.

I own both, The Super A was given to me by my brother in law before he passed away, so I will always keep it, but all I use it for is a lawnmower. My Fergie I use for most everything.
