TO-35 water pump replacement

I took mine to a shop, they pressed it off/on for me.

After someone told me about 1 out of 3 bust the pulley trying to get off and on again.

Be sure to measure the distance the pulley is located from some reference point, so you press it on the new pump at the same point.

I bought the pump at Ferguson dealership, they would not guarantee they would not bust the pulley,

Note to file: ask if they have one in stock, just in case.

I understand it's a press fit, therefore the pulley
is pressed onto the shaft.

Again, my old tractor is a TO35, 1957 gas model z134
engine, so it might be different,

I was thinking of a TEA, which has a nut on the end of the shaft that holds the pulley on. Just went out and looked at my TO and it doesn't - sorry, red herring.
