I'm not having any luck finding these seals. I hesitate to pull it apart until I have new seals. Any advice?

Oil seal size is 1 7/8" outside and 1 5/16" inside.
This converts to 47.625 mm x 33.3375 mm

From my research the Sparex S50257 is 47 mm x 32 mm, which is incorrect.

Try SKF 13027
PR6514 or PR3985 or
National Oilseals part number:47343
47.60 x 33.32 x 9.53 (1.874 x 1.312 x 0.375)
The modern replacements don't have the metal disc/cover as the original rawhide ones had, but you can carefully cut the outer cover/disc from the old seals and silicone into housing.

have you thought about syphoning out the old oil and replacing it with John Deere corn head grease?

this oil (grease) is thick and has some of the best lube properties of any farm lube.

many folks replace the oil in an old leaking gearbox with corn head grease, might be worth checking it out.

NAPA carries it as part # NOS 13027, other parts stores can cross-reference from the NAPA number.
