apparently these tires were put on new and the tractor then sat in a barn for ump-teen years. would the tires be trustworthy enough to be filled ?

also on same tractor. the weep hole on the btm. of the water pump has a drip. is there any other fix other than to replace the water pump?

thanks.

There is stop leak and liquid glass that some people use. It may work since it's just a small drip. I always just replace pump. Tire may work if your not pulling it hard with heavy load.

You may be able to find a date code on the tire, to determine the age of the tires.

Tractor Tires with sidewall cracks like that have run for years, are they 4,6,8 ply? I would be more concerned with tires like that on a truck loaded heavy at highway speeds, heat is the killer of tires.

Back to water pump: remember:

lost of oil pressure is the fastest way to ruin a good engine, letting a motor get hot due to a faulty water pump is the second fastest way to ruin a good engine. Change out the pump!!!!!

Steve, my opinion would be to get a water pump rebuild kit and rebuild the one you have. Some time ago I got a NEW pump and it must have been made in the land of almost fit. Before I do that again I will rebuild what I KNOW fits. Good luck.

I haven't been able to find a source for the kit to rebuild the Continental water pumps for the Z120 and Z129. Do you know of a place that has them?

I have loaded tires that look worse than that on the tractor that gets used for heavy work--skidding and winching logs, pulling the 9' haybine etc and they have held up now for 5 years. You never know when they could go bad so I wouldn't pay a lot for them, but if you have them I would definitely use them as it looks to me like they might have many years of service left.

YT is showing a repair kit and it says for all MF tractors. No I haven't tried to look for anything as I haven't needed anything like that yet.
