I just saw a 1964 35 in the tractor photos and it has the radius rods on that one. I looked at a MF 135 and it has the radius rods. I am guessing that one you saw should have them or dangerous without them. I don't think I am interested in buying the 35 you saw unless it is priced accordingly.

I looked in the parts books and the 135 Vineyard model had a straight axle option:

Well it certainly has the straight front axle, but the tie rods don't look like they have the bend in them like the parts diagram I posted.

In late 57 and/or58 they made a MHF work bull. The serial # plate calls this a 202 but it has MHF metal badges on the side and front. This was an industrial version of the ag tractor. It did not have radius rods, but had a heavy solid front non adjustable axle and a longer pivit pin. There was also a utilty version of the MF 35 in 62 and 63 that was made for the goverment that had the same set up. When the MF 202,203,204,and 205 hard nose tractors came out they used this setup also.. The 35, 135. etc ag tractors continued with the radius rods
