I've been waiting on Fed Ex...

Due to the ice storms we have had for the past week, my package was a week late. When it finally came, the driver instead of waiting on one of us to help, just opened the door and rolled it out the back and let it hit the ground. Luckily it was not damaged.

Yep, that is an ultra rare Z129 block. Why is it rare? It isn't cracked anywhere!!! I got the main caps
,oil pan,and the oil filter assembly also.

(quoted from post at 13:50:23 02/21/15) What's that block going in, Jason?

This one is going in ole faithful. My TO-20 that I have used non stop for the past 5 years. I have worked it hard so it is getting a new motor. I don't like too much having the motor ready to crank on my other TO-20. I wanted to get it up and running before I start in on ole faithful. I have all the parts to build a Z129 out of a Z120 block and I may still do that but I was able to get this block cheap. Maybe when I get this one together I will demonstrate that a TO-30 is able to pull a three bottom plow. Tony is a little skeptical I think...lol

Your "other" TO-20, Jason: is that the one with the disintegrated head gasket and the messy crankcase that you posted pictures of?

Yes that is the one. I haven't got to work on it this week because of the ice storms and snow that have plagued us all week. After the motor is back on it I have tire and rim that will have to be changed. Then address whatever unknowns there is like the hydraulics?

Fed-ex may do billions in shipping but I wont
except shipments from them , I have heard stories
from major retailers that there are case's when
goods are never delivered (lost for months) I have
personally had parts ordered that after tracking
find out the order is sitting at a Fed-ex terminal
and told the address does not exist, I demand
from any one that I am receiving goods from to
only ship UPS or USPS.

and something to be aware of is UPS commissions
Fed-ex to deliver for them also when they have an
overload and try to save money

Somewhere out there is a heat shield for a MF50 that Fed Ex lost before it got to me. They did pay my costs for it, but it's not like I was just able order another one any day of the week.

You know I really don't know why I spend the money on these little Fergusons like I do. They are not going to be worked like they have been by me in the past few years, as I'm sure my MF 135 diesel will take over as being the main work horse from the Fergusons. I could be wrong though.

FedEx and UPS deliver to our house all the time.

So far, both do a great job.

Ask driver one time why he came from out in the
country and not from the main road. He said his
navigation computer is set up to keep them from
having to make left turns, so sometimes it take them
out of the way, so they do not have to make a left
turn.

A left turn would not be a problem out in my area,
you see so few vehicles go by, you still wave as
people did years ago. Pickups stop in the road an
you talk to you neighbor, guess I live in a fantasy
land.
