I need new rear tires for my to 20 Ferguson. Any recommendation on 12.4 x28 or 11.2x 28. One brand better than another. Just using it to bushhog with.

All new tires are high. A lot of China tire are cheaper and will work. I always want to buy USA but always not available. Can you find a good used one? Compare prices.

If I was you I would stick with a 11.2x28 on a TO-20. That is what I have on both of mine and that is what came on it originaly size wise. A 12.4x28 will speed up your ground speed as well as pull the motor down because it is a heavier taller tire than the original. When I needed new tires for mine I researched and read reviews and I ended up going with BKT tires. They are made in India but they are 8 ply and not too expensive price wise. I ended up buying mine locally for $238.00 a piece.

Skyler, I agree with Jason. My TO-20 had 12.4x28 on it when I bought it, and they were a little too big.

I went with 11.2x28 tires; however, I bought some made-in-USA Firestone, 4-ply, at a local dealer that cost a lot more than the $238 that Jason paid for his BKT tires.

Were I doing it again, I'd probably look harder for cheaper (i.e. imported) tires.

SKYLER 53 it isn't going to make much difference as far as brand on a 20. BKT's used to be a very heavy casing, Titans had a very thin casing. If you are using it for brush hogging a heaver casing would be less apt to have sticks go thru them. If you want traction, go with Firestone Traction Field and Road. Put them on now and let them get hardened up before you put them to much use.

Actually the BKT's I bought replaced a set of field and road. The BKT's dig much better than the Firestones did.

I when with BKT tires
Have the old type tread design

On my TO 35 they were $900 with new tubes and filled
with fluid. About 300 less than US made tires at
the co-op, these had that funky tread design, just
did not look right on a little fergy.

So far they look good and work good, be sure you
have good rims, that old type fluid really ate up
the metal rims.

I bought 11.2 x 28's in the American Farmer brand from Nebraska Tire. I wanted to keep the $$ here in the US.
I can't tell you how well they work 'cause I don't have the tractor back together yet.
