to-30 ignition switch

I am replacing my switch and the part ordered(180681M93) does not fit the hole in the dash. The hole is too big. Is there something I am missing? All vendors have the same part# listed.
I have a 1953 Ferguson to-30

What I've seen is someone drilled the hole bigger for other type switch. You may be able to put a washer on new switch to fit hole.

The original number was 180684M91 then replaced with your number. Is the dash hole nice and almost round with the flat spot to accept a switch? Miner09 has one solution.

I will post some pictures as soon as I remember how to do it. From side to side, the hole is 7/8in. The switch is 1/2in.

The original switch also had only one flat side. As I remember about 1/2inch to maybe 3/4inch of flat space.

It might be that since my brother took it out he might have tried to put in something else. I will see if I have some washers to make it work. Thanks

It seems you are correct. Examining the hole in greater detail, it is obvious it was enlarged, it is also slightly oval. I made a spacer and with two washers was able to make it fit. Thanks
