Oil pressure line

What is the best way to get at the oil pressure gauge/line connection? Should I remove the gauge or take of the dashboard? Pretty tight confines and I have a leak,

You must be working on a 35?
Inno and I concurred on this, although it defies international child labor laws....
Find a kid. One who atleast know's the righty tighty lefty loosey thing. Usually it just loosens up.
Any more to it than that, find the kid a flashlight and some latex gloves. Offer all the cookies or whatever he wants...

Try and tighten line as is. I know its close but I use small wrench and just take my time. May not take very little to tighten. Sometimes I say a few bad words. LOL

I'll have my 2 Grandsons here on Friday. One of them thinks he a mechanic, I wonder where he got that from?

The oil pressure gauge on my FE 35 needs replacing. I have been there and done this before. But this time I plan to cut at least a 2" dia. hole in the double panel behind the gauge. It is bad enough doing the same job on a TEA 20 without double panels. Obviously I am not an avid purist and will make some modifications to a Fergie.
Plan is to attach new oil line to gauge feed it through the gauge hole in dash and with the battery removed and the new hole through the rear panel install and do up the gauge retaining bracket, sounds easy. Could cover the hole in rear panel with a flap made of insertion rubber pop riveted in place.
