Gentlemen
Here's the story, my brother has a 56/57 MH 50.
He was plowing snow in the last cold Ohio storm and was having
Problems with hyd response on the 3pt.

All of a sudden they just started coming up and a he heard a
Loud bang. The entire tractor broke in half. It is right infront of the seat. It broke the removable top cove and the entire rear casting all the way around. Unbelievable!!

It pulled apart about 4 inches by the time it stopped.
We chained it together and were able to pull it back to the barn.

So the tractor has been restored years ago, and was in great shape always.
Does anyone know if the 50 and 35 rears are compatable?
We are looking for parts and I know where I can get a 35 for a donor tractor if it would work.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Wow, sounds like a dramatic/traumatic break? Can you post some pictures? I have never heard of one breaking in half before due to the hydraulics.

The 35 and 50 have the same rear end parts. You should be able to swap the entire 35 rear end into the 50.

Thanks Dan
I thought they may work together.
I think it was as traumatic for him as it was the
Tractor lol.
We're a MF family and they're like our kids
I'll head up to get you a few pics.

does it have a loader on it? neighbors done that in 1964. he traded it for a 135. Was not uncommon back then when they had loaders on them.
