That is called a PTO extension with a safety shield. It should fit the TE, TO series and 9n, 2n that are using the same size shaft as what this extension is using I am guessing 1-1/8 inch.

I have one of those "PTO EXTENSTION". I used it on my Massey Ferguson 35 x Diesel. I was bailing hay with a NEW HOLAND baler in 1965 and the PTO had to be extended so as to drive the baler. It will fit many tractors such as 8N 9N 2N or similar bolt pattern. Some are set up to fit a 1 1/8 "and others are 1 3/8 input shaft. Some are set up to change the input from 1 1/8" to 1 3/8 out put.

I'm guessing TO20 or TO30. I have seen those before. They don't turn up very often in my part of nebraska. They will also fit the Ford 9n,2n, and I think 8n.

I think the book for my 9n shows it.

I guess this is the sorta thing they call a 'gadget'.
Nowdays if a pto shaft is too short to reach the splines, you go to tractor supply and buy a longer one. I guess a lot of ??? first generation??? we'd call it?? equipment had what is now very short and kinda weak shafts. The original one on my FEO20 mower is barely long enough to do the job, and the joints are cheesey compare to ones off the shelf since that one was made.
It seems a few years of adding cooks to the broth made things like this extension a 'conversation piece' ????
I bet it would attract attention if you were showing a Harry Ferguson pulling a long drawbar off brand implement.
