spark plugs

I Have used autolite # 3116 non resistor plugs in my
old TO 35 for years.

On another forum it was said they have moved their
production facilities to China!!!!

I checked the spare box of plugs I keep on hand,
they were made in Mexico, do not see much difference
to me.

Anyone else have a U.S. made plug that performs as
well as the old autolite 3116? I might give them a
try this spring. Old tractor idles at 400 rpms
now, if it gets any slower, it will be like me and
just stop.

My grandsons little honda motor bike runs best on nkg plugs, never looked for them in a non resistor tractor plug cross reference to 3116.

NGK has plants in West Virginia and California, but I don't know what spark plugs they make where.

My TO-20 had NGK AB-6 (2910) plugs (a non-resistor plug) in it when I bought it. I replaced them with Autolite 3116 plugs, but I kept the NGK plugs around for spares. (Both work fine.)

you would most likely be mortified and horrified at all the Chinese made products in your house. I would not worry too much about it.

The only plug I could find locally that would cross to a Autolite 386 was the NGK AB6. I needed some quickly a couple evenings ago to get some snow moved. Not sure where they're made, I can check when I get home. They seem to work good so far, although I only ran it for an hour or so.

I might look into those NGK AB-6 plugs this spring,

The NGK sure make the little honda romp and run
great.

As others said, if we stopped using all China made
stuff, we would be back in the dark ages.

Have you ever thought about using AC Delco plugs? I bought several AC C85S plugs and I bought some C87 plugs from Rockauto a while back. I took a pic of the C85S. It's hard to see but it is stamped made in USA.

If you don't want to use Delco plugs you can always go with the originals. I bought several Champion 8 Com plugs and their Blue Crown equivalents at a tractor show a while back for $2.00 a piece. Guaranteed made in the USA and correct for Ferguson tractors...lol. I also bought several sets of NOS Echlin points from the same guy guy for $1.00 a set.

Wow, those are some cool old plugs!

I checked the package that the NGK plugs came in, made in Japan. I think much of the stuff from Japan is not too bad quality wise, we'll see how they last.
