TO35 light wiring

Duggers

OK Gents I'm puzzled. TO35 with what I think is a MF add on light kit my Dad installed 30 years or so ago. 5 blades on back of light switch and trying to figure out what is for what. I have 2 wires going to the front 2 lights, is one a ground? 1 wire going to back lights, switched work light with interior red, yellow flashing hazard and the rears all work when you put power to them. I am wondering if the front light are grounded through the switch but both wires seem to have power to them. Any ideas?

My TO35 has one wire fused (hot) going to the front lights and one wire hot going to the tail light.

I added a second fused wire with switch going to the rear that runs my yellow blinker safety light, I am on the highway some, so I felt I needed safety flasher lights.

One wire is hot, other ground. Could you be getting spark when you touch ground wire. I always ground headlight under hood where you can't see wire. Run ground wire through light base bolt to a place you can ground it. This way you have a good ground. Most lights are grounded inside light housing around rim with one wire going to one side bulb and other wire from bulb to switch. Run a hot wire to switch with inline fuse. I do same with rear light running ground to fender bolt. You can go to--fergusontractor.org/fena/--click on resources then wiring to see diagram.

Every light switch I've dealt with didn't have a ground on it. Should only be a terminal connected to power and all others go to lights. The lights are grounded elsewhere.

For what it's worth, when I put lights on my TO35 I ran the ground wire back to the block. In the past I've had issues with grounding to something that was movable. I put 100w halogens on the front and LED lights on the rear. I and my neighbors can attest that the 100W fronts are very bright...
