Best Service manual for Ferguson FE35

Hi all,

Just purchased about a 1959 Ferguson FE 35 from a local (35 miles away) dealer here in Washington State. I have ordered an original Ferguson Operators manual off of ebay, but need a parts and service manual also. I have one downloaded for free from Cian Mcgovern’s website but it does not show the glow plug and starting setup I have, which is two push buttons but no key key switch. One push button for the glow plugs and one for the starter. Is there a manual which shows the setup that I have?
Thanks,
Martin

thanks,

I have a 1960 TO35 Diesel which uses a key switch. Turn to the right the starter engages, no glow plug heat. Turn one to the left one position puts power to the glow plugs, and there is a light on mine the comes on.Turn further to the left if engages the starter and the glow plugs continue to have power as well.

Post a picture of the dash so we can get some idea of you tractor configuration?

BTW that FE35 service manual is about the best that I have found. All the other are pretty lame. Has very good information with regards to 23C engine.

The cat must have some good claws holding on when being upside down like that. :)

the photos must be upside down, per the joke about the cat.
they came out the same way on Tractorbynet also but show
upside down to me also, not so on this site. Do you know how
to get them right side up
The dash has the two buttons and a light switch but that's all.

Charles,
Thank you for the info, but that is the one I have already for
free from Cian McGovern. I was wondering if any of the others
are more compete or have a wireing diagram of the starter
button setup on this tractor.
have seen several other types, the ITT and some from
England but don't know what they contain.

The manual I downloaded is the one Charles has the link to.
The Agco manual webpage has an owners a parts and a
service manual. Is the service manual on the Agco site the
same one I have downloaded alread?
Thanks,
Martin

That dash looks very close mine except for the extra buttons, and mine faces up not down... :) If were a betting person I would bet that the buttons were added by someone else. One button for glow plug heat the other to engage the starter. Don't need anything else except to make sure the shutoff is forward... not that I would try to start mine with it out.... Generally mine will try to start right away. if it doesn't the first thing I look at is the shutoff, more often than not it's out.
