Is it possible that a Sherman 0verdrive(2 speed) from a 8N Ford will fit a TO 20 without changing the starter mechanism. Thanks for any replies.

Go to this link and it will tell you all you need to know about sherman transmissions.

Was informed by him that he has very little information ore experience with the 2 speed but has dealt with the 3 speed setups, pretty much exclusively

You have to modify the starter mechanism to fit in order for it to work.
I use to have a drawing of this but have lost track of it. Plus the wife's '20 has the Hupp with a Howard. However your going to basically removing what you have and run a flat bar over the top of the Sherman connected to both ends of the starter mechanism. With that in mind and a bit of looking you should be able to figure it out.

If it's anything like the sherman combo's for the ford the top and back will need to be ground down to make it fit the ferguson. I have a ford sherman combo that I pulled out of a ferguson that had been reworked to make fit.
