ferguson plow

Looks like a Ferguson plow.
I looked it up on the Lancaster, pa craigslist site so I could expand the picture.

I believe the adjustment handle was welded onto the crossbar, so you could never move the crossbar left to right again.

Normal adjustment is loosen the crossbar u bolts with your trusty Ferguson wrench, you turn the crossbar to align the plow or move crossbar right to left to adjust the furrow width, then tighten it back up.

If you need a plow and the price is good, it would break up a garden, if points are still good.

Point condition is everything on these old plows, if they are dull you can't drive the plow in the ground, many were set aside when the points got dull.

Suggestion;

If you are looking for a good deal on a small plow.

You might look at a 3x12, 3x14 and remove the middle plow.

Many times it's harder to sell a 3 plow than a 2 plow.

I have a Ferguson but one of the best small plows is the Ford 101 series with kick back beams. They have more throat than the small Ferguson plows and do not clog as bad, I have used both and prefer the Ford.
