Here is my rebuild total

Remember a while back I posted about I was shopping around for parts for my newest TO-20 rebuild? This price includes everything, and its all quality parts, sealed power, delco, fel pro, gates, standard motor products,etc.... I bought a new ignition switch, gasket set,rod and main bearings, pistons, sleeves, water pump, thermostat, points and condensor, spark plugs, new valves, springs, valve locks, valve guides, thrust washer, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, input shaft seal and gasket, had the flywheel surfaced, crank turned, bought another carb and carb kit,oil and filter, radiator hoses, fan belt, and shellac and silicone. The grand total came to $774.92. I don't think that is bad at all considering everything I bought and had done. Since every piece is quality parts and new I shouldn't have to worry about the tractor for many, many years. The only thing it cost me was some time to sit down and cross the Massey numbers over.

that is not bad at all considering what you accomplished, of course that is not counting your time researching shopping and rebuild it, it be more like $3k from first bolt off to first crank after.

not sure what I will end up choosing to do with my tractor at the moment I am debating either a quick patch job and get through another summer or a swap, rebuild was not on my list due to time constraints, but it wouldn't hurt posting your parts list, numbers and prices if you find the time or at least scan the invoices for those that may consider it at some point wont have to cross over all those #s and shop around, it also helps to get all you need in one order, many projects I abandoned in the shopping list stage, sometimes it seems to be the hardest, once that order is in its all downhill

Bought my to20 for 1100 and wound up with over 3200
in it so you done good.I now only fix what's broken,
no can't say that either I'm upgrading manual to
power on a 50.

can you share you're info on cross references and suppliers? i'm going to rebuild the motor on my to-20 this spring and definitely want to spread my dollars as far as they can go

I have a list compiled but I'm afraid if I posted it here the moderators would ban me. I can see there point of view. They provide a free forum for us to get together on and they want you to buy parts from here. I don't think they would put it in FENA magazine either since Steiner is a sponsor of most of their events.
