Hello all,
I am in the process of rebuilding a TO 20 engine that sat for 15 to 20 years. When I pulled the sleeves they where very hard to get out plus a lot of rust and scale can out. There wasn't any water in the oil and there was still some antifreeze in the block. I haven't found any cracks anywhere but after cleaning the block the bottom of the cylinder bores are rough about 1/4 in down from the top of the bore. I was wondering if this will cause a sealing problem on the new sleeves. I haven't taken it to a machine shop yet because I haven't visually found any cracks. Thanks for any replies.
