OK guys you all say there are 3 drains for the trans. I found one below the the shift lever on the bottom left and one just a little aft and below the PTO engage lever. Where is number 3, is it the plate to the front with four bolts?

Yes just looked in the archives and have it confirmed there are only two drain holes on a TO 35.
Archives is a handy thing.

Thanks for the help and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. A warm day in Kansas and thought I would change fluid.

I drained and changed the trans/hyd oil in my 1957 TO35 this last summer.

I put GL-1 mineral oil back in the sump. No problem during the summer and fall, but as soon as it got cold the lift is much slower, may take 4 to 5 minutes for the lift to work. After start up the lift works fine, just slow at start up, but tractor needs to warm up anyway.

You might consider using some other type oil such as motor oil 15w40 or 10w30.

I put UTF in my 35 several years ago since it is running a loader off the oil in the sump. The hydraulics work a lot better and I have not had any trouble yet. I don't use it for heavy pulling, mostly just loader work around the yard and occasionally haying when the Farmall is having a problem.

I think I'm going to use some Quaker Stater 10W40 standard oil. I found it at Sam's Club for 33.00 for a 12 quart case.
