Multi power works I think

Messing around with that mf35. It has multipower but I had not tried it. It seems to work even though the lever is very stiff like it wasn't used much. I drove it up a hill and in high stops it from rolling backwards with pedal halfway down. After pushing the pedal down all the way it starts to creep. Free wheels downhill in low and not in high. When moving in any gear it shifts down to low and when going to high it drops rpm and takes off. Is the lever supposed to be really stiff?

Sound right?

MF 35 multi-power lever should not be stiff at all. Spray some good lubricant on the linkage under the hood. Seems like the real multi-power test wold be to do as you have already done but with a moderately heavy wagon hitched to the tractor, and shift into high multi-power when going up a slight hill.

Yup - That sounds like every MF tractor I've driven that has multi-power.
