I'd say you had to change your underwear after that happened...lol. Thank goodness no one was hurt and it didn't hurt the tractor. It's looking good...and I like your Ferguson sign in the background.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades!

Glad you had no major damage. Is that a Z134 engine?

Hi
Nice looking tractor glad you weren't hurt, and the tractor wasn't damaged. So did you learn today why most axle stands either have 3 or 4 legs. not just 2 in a straight line.
Its kinda similar to why tractors fall off blocks with 2 in the middle and nothing at, at-least 2 or more of the widest points on fixed rear or blocked front axles so they can't pivot. .
Regards Robert

I do not have the privilege of having many of the tools some have at their disposal, so I have to pay to have much of the stuff done and I have to take it from home to the sand blaster then to the paint shop then back home and do the reassembly. My neighbor had a loader tractor that picked it up and put on the trailer. So why did he go to Fla. knowing I needed it off the trailer after getting painted. LOL

Yes all that sounds nice. However we were in the process of pulling it towards the rear of the trailer so I would be able to put the rear wheels on as I couldn't get them on when they were up that far because of the trailer fenders. The front axle was also too far forward as the wheels would be hanging in the air as the tractor was loaded to keep the weight on the hitch. Now I do not believe there will be much problem installing the wheels.

I've had brake issues after sandblasting, you may want to pull the drums if air pressure doesn't get it all, really top notch paint job!

Thank you 2 I was thinking about doing that later but maybe should do it now then I won't forget. Seems as I am forgetting more all the time.

If this was school shop.... you'd be sweeping the floor till Christmas!

This is why I don't fuss over paint jobs... a brush full of rustoleum and no one would be none the wiser...

Ya no those yellow 24 inch turf tires that are always getting in the pictures??? They are for jobs like this, safe and easy to roll- push around with one hand, and don't weigh much. I don't think trying to mount 28 inchers that far off the ground- on an obviously wobbly trailer deck... argh... I'd lower the axles on the trailer... then slide the chassis back onto blocks on the floor at a height where you can get the lug nuts on. I think that would be saferer and betterer.

Got to take care of you Richard.... incase I am in a pickle again at the next FENA meet... only 8 months 2 weeks 3 days and 18 hours to go!!!!!

Tony, are you counting the Thursday before the show starts? We are planning a tractor ride, and a lunch at a state park which is 5 miles away, and then a work day in the afternoon. They have an area for us to play in right on the show grounds. Although the soil is sandy should be a good time. We are calling this a work day as we would like to get all types of Ferguson implements in the field. They would like to have us work the other days of the show also if anyone is interested in doing so.

Tony, that trailer is a very stable trailer. I have two jack stands in the back so it would not pick up the front when we moved tractor to the rear. The trailer never moved at all. A brush full of Rust Oleum? I thought you only used the spray cans! I have to rethink you Tony.

Ya see Richard.... I ain't very tall.. and I've been wallowing in S@#$ my whole life.... so working flat in the dirt is comfortable to me..
and... there is a 'Tony's Law' quotation... " it is technically impossible for something to fall off or further than the floor". Yet to be disproven in the laboratory...
Many moons ago I got pinned down by an army truck tire? 3/4 ton? 900x16? or something that could have been worst... it didn't hurt at all, wasn't so uncomfortable... but I could have starved to death without help getting it off of me... I would want 2 other level headed big fellers to mount wheels the way you are set to do it.
I try to look out for Tony before people got to look for what's left of Tony....
